What were your challenges linked to your prevention action?

We know that the number of diabetics continues to grow. We estimate that within 10 years, 101% of the French population will be affected by this disease. As a key player in diabetes prevention, it was our duty to take action to raise awareness among our employees through preventive measures.

Why did you choose the Medisur method?

We chose Medisur for its flexibility and ability to develop content tailored to our needs. The ability to self-test with the Health Box”My diabetes & me” is a real plus!

What actions have you set up with Medisur?
  • A conference for:
    • To understand the importance of lifestyle and diet in preventing diabetes
    • Know how to act for yourself and those around you by spotting the early signs
    • Improve their overall health with expert advice
  • “Prevention Assessment” workshop conducted by a dietician nurse:
      • 45 employees were able to test their blood sugar
      • 270 health box “My Diabetes & Me” to test yourself and learn independently
What were the returns of your colleagues?

This educational and practical approach enabled rich discussions on the topic of diabetes, and also helped our employees achieve a more in-depth diagnosis. This awareness-raising campaign generated a lot of interest, particularly given the opportunity to self-test.

“It’s great to propose the measurement of another variable like cholesterol, because it is also a risk factor that we can act on!

The final word for those who are still hesitant to engage in HRQoL?

Awareness goes beyond information. It leads to behavioral change for both employees and those around them. We give them the tools to take charge of their health. Employees feel more listened to and supported. They achieve a better quality of life at work, feel less stressed, and have a clearer view of the habits they need to change.

“I find the approach very good. These actions must be relayed as widely as possible throughout France in order to raise citizens' awareness of prevention and the good attitudes to adopt to avoid this disease as much as possible."
