Gynecological monitoring for prevention
Promote employee health by offering gynecological consultations in a professional environment.
Follow up gynecological prevention
Faced with a shortage of gynecologists and medically desert areas, many women neglect their gynecological follow-up, while this preventive examination can sometimes save lives by detecting diseases early. Preventive gynecological follow-up in the workplace promotes access to health care and contributes to the prevention of cancers and female diseases.
These individual gynecological consultations complete our Pink October module and the Pink October health box. We offer employees the opportunity to meet a healthcare professional to freely discuss their health and to learn how to perform breast self-palpation.
Objectives of gynecological prevention follow-up
- Take stock of the patient's situation with regard to her gynecological follow-up and screening examinations
- Carrying out a clinical breast examination (no smear will be taken)
- Learn to make independently a chest examination (with or without self-palpation pad)
- Prescription of all additional examinations necessary for the proper monitoring of the patient (medical biology or imaging, STI screening, additional examinations before a first prescription or change of pill, etc.)
Detailed content of gynecological prevention follow-up
the gynecological prevention follow-up is above all a privileged moment of discussion with a health professional to free up speech, ask all questions about contraception, problems related to menstruation, routine check-ups, requests for information, sexuality, suspicion of infection, etc. It also allows employees to complete their training on breast cancer prevention. It takes place in several stages:
- Questions about women's gynecological health
- Breast exam
- Explanation of the actions to practice to carry out a correct self-palpation
- Completely autonomous production of self-examination with and without self-palpation pad
- The health professional can also accompany people who wish to do so.
- Exchange and sharing
It is important to remember that no examination will be carried out without the informed consent of the employee.
