It's been a little less than a year since we discovered Dr. Mouysset's Resource Center, and it was a real crush. We share it with you today; so if you knew, you will know more, and if not, great discovery!
Therapeutic support at the same level as cancer treatments
Dr. Mouysset is a medical oncologist who has always been interested in the feelings of sick people and their support. According to him, the care of a cancer patient goes beyond their illness; their psychological state and quality of life seem just as important to him. Thus, in 1997, Dr. Mouysset had an important meeting at Stanford University, that of Professor Spiegel. At the time, he was working on "support-expression" group psychotherapy. These are discussion groups for sick people, which emphasize the expression of emotions and support. This work had a strong influence on Dr. Mouysset and thus participated in the creation of the Resource Association in 2001; and later in the opening of the first Resource Center in Aix-en-Provence.
A center full of resources
To set up his first Resource Center®, Dr. Mouysset surrounded himself with a multidisciplinary team. Currently, in Aix-en-Provence, more than 140 participants lead well-being workshops individually or in groups. Psychologists, dance teachers, yoga teachers, various therapists, beauticians, occupational physicians... All the non-drug care provided by volunteers, who are nevertheless experts, aims to support patients but also caregivers to improve their quality of life, during and after cancer treatments.
The Center Ressource® of Aix-en-Provence is the largest center in France with more than 900 m² dedicated to well-being. Eight other Resource Centers® have been set up throughout France since the creation of the first one.
With the Center Ressource®, Dr. Mouysset created the PPACT: Personalized Therapeutic Support Program. This exclusive program combines a cognitive-behavioral intervention with a “support-expression” group therapy.

The Medisur X Resource Center® meeting
It was by discussing with our occupational physician and partner Dr Fabre that we were able to contact Dr Mouysset from the Center Ressource®. Living in Aix-en-Provence, we had already heard of the Center Ressource®. Our meeting with Dr. Mouysset confirmed that we share the same values.

In addition to this, we regularly invite Dr. Mouysset to participate in our health prevention interventions in the workplace. In this way, we want to bring his expertise as a medical oncologist to our clients, and thus allow as many people in companies to benefit from his experience.
