The choice of the detection threshold
The detection threshold determines the sensitivity of the test: The lower it is, the more sensitive the test is. and detects even old or faint traces. The higher it is, the more the test focuses on recent or significant consumption.
High threshold

The box contains the necessary material for a test: 1 aluminum sachet containing 1 screening test and its saliva collector.
Precautions for use
Please read all information in this leaflet before performing the test.
- This test is intended for external use only. DO NOT SWALLOW.
- The test can only be interpreted if the instructions are scrupulously followed. Carefully observe the times indicated.
- Store between +2°C and +30°C. DO NOT FREEZE.
- Do not use after the expiry date printed on the label and on the protective bag, or if the bag is damaged.
- Do not reuse this test.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- After use, dispose of all components in the trash.
Instructions for use
Wait for the device to reach room temperature between 15 and 30°C before starting the test.
- Do not eat, smoke or drink for 10 minutes before taking the test.
- Use the device immediately after opening the pouch. The test should be used within one hour of opening the pouch.
- Remove the cassette collector 1. Be sure to remove the cap. ②.
- Rub the collector on the inside of your cheeks and gums, then place the collector on and under your tongue to collect as much saliva as possible. Do not bite the sponge as it may break. Remove the collector when the saturation indicator turns pink/red (approximately 30 seconds). ③.Note: If the saturation indicator has not turned pink/red, replace the collector in your mouth and continue collecting saliva.
- Insert the collector into the cassette ④.Note: When inserting the collector into the cassette, insert the protruding part of the collector head into the space provided ❶, then press the tail of the collector to secure it ❷.
- Slide the blue cap in the direction of the red arrow to the stopper (blue arrows) ⑤.
- Place the test on a flat surface when it migrates ⑥A negative result can be read as soon as bands appear in the C (control) and T (test) zones. Positive results should be interpreted after 10 minutes. Do not read results after 20 minutes.
Interpretation results
POSITIVE
Band 1, 2, 3 or 4 NOT VISIBLE. (1 band for 1 drug)
The test is positive when a band appears next to the C (control) mark and no band appears at the corresponding mark.
A positive result means you should not undertake actions requiring increased alertness such as driving a vehicle.
NEGATIVE
BAND 1, 2, 3 or 4 VISIBLE
The test is negative when a band appears next to the C (control) mark and a band also appears at the corresponding mark. The intensity of the lines varies. A line 1, 2, 3, or 4, even if very faint, indicates a negative result.
INVALID
BAND C NOT VISIBLE
The test is invalid when the control band (C mark) does not appear. This most often occurs when the instructions in the package insert are not followed. Read the instructions and start again with a new test.

How does the Medisur MULTI-DRUG SALIVARY TEST work?
Using antibodies against cocaine, methamphetamines, Δ9-THC, amphetamines, opiates, and K2, MULTIDRUG SALIVARY TEST reveals the presence of one or more of these drugs. If the concentration of these compounds rises to a certain threshold, the test is positive.
When can it be done?
The test can be performed on a saliva sample obtained at any time of day. However, you should not eat, drink, or smoke for 10 minutes before taking the test.

– Amphetamines: 5 to 10 minutes up to 72 hours after consumption depending on the dose.

Can we get wrong results?
For the test to be reliable, the instructions in the package leaflet must be followed carefully. The quantity and quality of the saliva collected will be decisive for obtaining a correct result. Indeed, the result can be distorted if the test is wet before taking it, or if the quantity of saliva impregnated by the test is not sufficient. It is therefore important to remove the saliva collector only when the saturation indicator has turned pink/red.
I didn't apply enough saliva to the Medisur MULTIDRUG SALIVARY TEST. Will I get an accurate result?
No, if the saliva volume is not sufficient, the test may give a false negative or be invalid.
What is the purpose of the strip that appears next to the C (Control) mark?
If the line next to the C mark appears, it means the Medisur multidrug saliva test worked. If the line next to the C mark does not appear, it means the test did not work. You should then start again with a new test.
I read the result after 20 minutes. Will I get a reliable result?
No, the positive result must be read 10 minutes after the test is performed. MULTIDRUG SALIVARY TEST from Medisur. A negative result can be read after 2 minutes, according to the test instructions given in the package insert. After 20 minutes, the interpretation of results is no longer reliable.
How to interpret the test if the intensity of the T1, T2, T3, T4, T5 and T6 bands are different?
The intensity of the bands is of no importance for reading the results. The bands must only be homogeneous and continuous. The appearance of low-intensity T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, and T6 bands is considered a negative result.
What should I do if the result is positive?
If the result is positive, it means that the test detected one or more drugs in the saliva. You should not undertake any action requiring your full attention or concentration, such as driving a vehicle.
What should I do if the result is negative?
If the result is negative and you have not used drugs, there are no special precautions to take.
IMPORTANT
A negative result does not necessarily mean that the sample does not contain any psychoactive substances. Substances below the test's detection threshold may be present in the saliva sample.

Between 92 and 210 saliva samples were collected from subjects who had consumed a type of drug. These samples were subjected to the multi-drug test and the results were confirmed by gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC/MS).
